Friends of Long Beach Animals needs your help. Responsible pet ownership behavior is critical to animal life safety, and a WALK & RUN for the Animals is being held to promote how pets contribute to the quality of our lives — especially guide dogs for the blind, animals that help us heal, and those who make our community safer place to live, work, and play. We aim to make a difference in animal life safety and are grateful for your interest in sponsoring the event — for pets and people.
Animal lovers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate, including their wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, and animal companions. This pet and people life safety fundraiser is bringing the community and resources together during National Hispanic Heritage Month, Blind Awareness and Global Arts Month on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at the close of National Fire Prevention Week. As a vital resource, your participation is key and, in addition to making a difference, would also provide an opportunity for you to connect with the rich diversity that is Long Beach.
Depending on your sponsorship level, signage with your logo would be displayed along Shoreline Drive at Linden, across from the Long Beach Grand Prix Winner’s Circle. Your logo would also appear on event t-shirts, in print advertising, and in media coverage of the event.
In addition to fun and fitness, festivities will feature therapy dog demonstrations and other life safety resources, art, literature, entertainment, and learning activities.
Your presence, team participation, and your resources would be greatly appreciated. You are also welcome to WALK & RUN for the Animals along the scenic shoreline bike path as part of fundraising efforts in either the 2K or 5K WALK or the 5K or 10K RUN. Local mascots are also invited to participate in support of pet and people life safety. We would look forward to welcoming you and your team, too.
